Paper Preparation Guidelines - Instructions to Authors

The organisers will compile a CD after the Conference is over. This CD, which may be registered with an ISBN number, will be provided to all participants and will include the Programme, the Abstracts, the List of Participants, full copies of all the papers and the presentation files. Authors who do not wish to have their paper and/or their presentation file included on the CD may so instruct the Organising Committee. In order to achieve some consistency of presentation of the material, authors are asked to apply the format as recommended below. To make this task really simple please save the template (Word file) into a folder on your computer and double click the template to start a new document. Then write your paper directly into this template. The suggested formatting will then take care of itself. To see what your paper will look like we have also included a very short example (PDF file) of a paper prepared in this format. Authors are asked to please follow the guidelines below:

  1. Papers (maximum ±10 pages including Tables & Figures) should be written in good English using Microsoft Word software.
  2. Do not include a cover page but use the Header as shown in the template.
  3. Authors and their Affiliations should be presented on the first page as per the template, with the presenting author underlined.
  4. Include a short (max 100 word) Abstract before the first text heading.
  5. Please use A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins and single spaced 11pt Times New Roman font.
  6. Captions should be below Figures and above Tables. Tables and References should be written in the Template format
  7. Figures, pictures, photos etc. should be in good resolution.
  8. We will be asking you to submit full papers by latest April 15, 2008 via a commercial ftp site. The submission should include the complete Word file and a pdf-file of the full paper with all figures etc. All files should be sent as one zip-file with author name and date in the file name. Further details, including information about the ftp site, will be provided at time of notification of acceptance of your Abstract.
  9. For presenters please bring a digital Power Point file to the Conference (USB Memory Stick, CD or DVD). A power point cover page template is also provided for your convenience.
